Political Flags & Signs

Several property owners have contacted the office and some POA board members regarding the growing number of flags and signs related to politics, BLM and so forth that are appearing on member properties. We want property owners to understand that we do hear your concerns. However, the existing POA rules and California law, do not clearly describe what is allowable/not allowable for flags/political signs. Therefore, there are no a clear rules to follow at present.

Sometime after the new year the POA board agenda will include this topic as a community discussion item (hopefully when everyone that wants to attend is in-person). A proposed rule clarification may be provided for community review and comment after community feedback is received next year.

2nd Road Access - Tehama County Board Meeting

Please participate in the Tehama County board meeting on Tuesday, August 25 at approximately 11:00 AM board agenda item #31 regarding our second exit. Note that the time could change because the board will sometimes move agenda items around. I have attached just agenda item #31. Note that you can see the letter to the county from the POA that caused the county to respond with the discussion item. Much effort has been going on behind the scenes to get to this point. Unfortunately, this is not the vote we had hoped for. You can join the meeting via phone. Please plan to speak even if it is just to say you want TC to act. If you do not speak they will not know you ‘attended’ via phone. It would be great if people could attend in person too however, it is possible that you may not be able to be in the board chambers – however, even if you are standing in the lobby or outside it will help.

Lake California Second Access - request to initiate Eminent Domain

As many of you know the POA has been pressing for action to secure the right of way for a Lake CA second exit. The Tehama County Board of Supervisors (BOS) has notified the POA that there will be a discussion item on their agenda on Tuesday, August 25th regarding the Lake California Second Exit. The agenda will be posted here http://tehamacountyca.iqm2.com/citizens/default.aspx about 1 week before the meeting. Residents are encouraged to attend/call in and speak in support of eminent domain action. We need your support!

Road Work Schedule 2020

The roads will be opened during the repairs and overlays, however there maybe some slight delays during this time. They will work with you. Please remember to keep your vehicles off of the road if they are in your area.

Campground & RV Storage

Please note that if you need to make reservations for the campground please call the campground hosts at 347-7908. If it is on Wednesday or Thursday please leave a message and they will return your call even though these are their days off. If you need to call the office you can do so, however we do not have their current reservation schedule.

As for the pedestals all of them in loop B have been replaced.

Also, in RV storage new lights have been installed.

New State Guidelines

New State guidelines: starting July 13th until further notice, we are not able to operate our Lounge or have inside dinning service.

We will continue with our take-out orders through the LC Landing to accommodate the food needs of the community.

We will reopen the Lounge and inside dinning service as soon as the State removes their restrictions.

This is the time of year that the Lake is in full use. Please remember that if you are swimming in the Lake that private backyards and docks are private property. Private property is not to be used unless you have the property owners permission.

We have two different beach areas on both sides of the lake that you can use for your enjoyment.
